There can no longer be any doubt of the massive influence the Third Reich had on South America, Argentina especially - from years prior to the outbreak of World War II to years after the end of the war and even today.  Come with Sharkhunters as we return to this historic area.

NOTE - This is not a pampered vacation tour.  Those selected will dig, use metal detectors, take photos and videos - hike, walk and climb steep grades.  We will get our hands dirty and scuff up our knees.  This is a rough itinerary and not for the timid!  We'll see......

The old German school                     No, this is not Bavaria - but it was                   The large German Cultural Center
formerly run by SS Erich Priebke          home to many who departed Germany            is still there, still in operation

The Estancia where Hitler and Eva                       The grave of the caretaker of the                       Interesting little village............
Braun lived until their home was ready                  Estancia where Hitler lived

The atomic research facility was built in 1947, two years AFTER the end of the war, on a well guarded island in a huge fresh water lake.   It is reported that a cold fusion reaction was initiated and sustained in this laboratory.  We will visit these ruins.

"Control rod refueling ports?"                 Overgrown and abandoned buildings that formed the atomic research laboratory
Or possibly something to do with
                    the 'Nazi Bell project?

This tower, still standing today, guarded one approach on the lake and this bunker (blown up in the 1960's) guarded the other approach on the lake.  It was impossible to approach the estate without being seen and immediately reported.  What estate?

This magnificent estate............but why is it so important?

Research as well as personal interviews indicates that this is the estate where Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun lived until 1955 when the nearby town was discovered as a sport and tourist attraction - fishing and water sports in the summer, skiing and skating in the winter.

NOTE - This estate has been deserted for years and is currently for sale.  We believe that it will NOT be sold by the time we visit.  however, on the outside chance that it is sold and occupied, we cannot roam the grounds at will.  We are told that the asking price is some $45 million Yankee Dollars so in this recession (steeper in Argentina) we feel that it will still be deserted - we hope.

NOTE - Argentina is experiencing a strong recession, thereby making your dollar more valuable!  When we went in January 2008, the US Dollar was worth 3 Argentine Pesos.  When we went in January 2009, the US Dollar was worth 3.75 Pesos.  Today the Dollar is worth 4 Pesos and it is predicted that when we are there in January, the Dollar will be worth 4.25 Pesos.  Your US Dollar or European Euro will buy a lot!

We will visit many other interesting places - sightseeing in this beautiful area and we will go into Chile and visit the posh five-star hotel where hundreds of SS officers would gather (until the mid 1990's) to celebrate on the 20th of April every year.
