 Thursday 17 June, we gather at our host hotel in Frankfurt, meet each other and go over any questions and details of the 'Patrol'.  After breakfast Friday, we drive to the complex where the celebration of the Summer Solstice will take place.

There will be important people from the USA, Germany, Sweden, England, Russia and elsewhere at this Solstice meeting and you will meet them and mingle with them for the time on the mountain.

Our Sharkhunters group will live in one of these two huge traditional old German homes.

 

 


There are many activities on Friday...............................

From high atop this scenic overlook........

......the view is breathtaking
   

We visit the 'Heiligerstein' (holy stone) where by tradition, the new

 bride jumps off the stone and the groom must catch her - or else!

...................but the big day is Saturday.

Some guests arrive with great fanfare and flourish Flags flying, drums beating - they arrive from all over

 and to make new friends among the group
   
Always plenty of great food and informal gatherings just for fun
   

The evening begins with the group assembled in the great room

 for an excellent dinner and conversation
   

followed with motivational speeches by important people

 and in some cases, awards to be presented

 as the traditional flames leap high into the darkening sky
   

The festivities continue well into the night

 and we stay for them or return to our rooms, as we wish
