The Story of U-995
                        DVD-4

This tape tells the story of this, the ONLY Type VII-C  left in the world through her time in the Kriegsmarine in WW II, to the Norwegian Navy where she was known as KAURA and to her final site as a memorial on the shores of the Baltic Sea.  The story is told by her last Skipper, Oblt HANS-GEORG HESS (KNIGHTS CROSS) who, at barely 21 years of age, became the youngest combat submarine Skipper of WW II, possibly of all time. Lots of good footage - combat, training and current day.
