Konter Admiral Erich Topp was Skipper of U-57, U-552 and U-2513.  He sank thirty-six ships totaling some 200,000 gross tons and so, became the third most successful submarine Skipper of World War II.  He was decorated with the Knights Cross with Oak Leaf and Crossed Swords.
