Photographic images of History from the private cameras of young German and Russian soldiers.  These were in the years at the time of struggle, of honor and the loss of an entire generation of young men, the end of a nation, the destruction of an entire continent and a way of life.
This was a time in the beginning of the great conflict – when the European struggle was a much smaller war than it was when it became World War Two, the greatest conflict ever in history.  We see the photographic record of these young soldiers as they engaged in the struggle that should never have occurred.  We see them train with their comrades in arms as well as relaxing times, in cafes, with girlfriends – the way all young soldiers live in a foreign land.
Join us in this photographic trip back in time when war clouds covered Europe and the world was being plunged into the most terrible conflict in history – beyond the imagination of anyone at that time.  The Flames of War were growing into a raging inferno.
