The Plan to Rescue Hitler

“I wanted to go and live in the depths of Argentina.”

Words of Guillermo Rousell, Swiss collaborator sentenced to death in France.  He managed to accomplish his wish and lived his final days in Patagonia.

After the extradition of (Hauptsturmführer) SS Captain Erich Priebke from Argentina to Italy which occurred in 1995, a phenomenon curiously appeared in the city of San Carlos di Bariloche.  This is where a former officer of the 3rd Reich happened to live for half a century.

This book tells the story of many of the 3rd Reich who escaped to live out their lives in safety and comfort in South America – primarily in Argentina.
