JÜRGEN OESTEN (1681-1990)

Kriegsmarine, U-Bootwaffe Skipper of U-61, U-106, and U-861; Flotillenchef, 9th U-Bootflottille

JÜRGEN OESTEN was born 24 October 1913 in Berlin and was in Naval Academy Class 1933.
In addition to commanding three combat submarines in the war, he also set up the 9th U-Bootflottille at Brest.

He was decorated with the Knights Cross.
